Argentine midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has hit out at Inter Milan's teammate Adriano and said on Saturday that the Brazilian striker is overrated.

"If he played the way he talks then Inter would have already won the Scudetto," Veron was quoted as saying by sports magazine Football Italia.

Both players have reportedly fallen out on more than one occasion with the top incident after Inter were eliminated by Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

"Adriano feels himself on a pedestal that doesn't belong to him, seeing as he's neither Ronaldo nor Ronaldinho, I really hope he gets to face Argentina in the World Cup," Veron added.

Although Adriano confirmed earlier he will be staying with Inter next season, he said that he's not comfortable playing for the club and that the domination of Argentine players at the San Siro causes him huge unrest.

"Here with Brazil there is a fantastic environment and I feel great, but unfortunately at my club things don't go the same way," Adriano said.

"I'm focusing now at the World Cup but after that I must reflect and decide what is best for my career."
