Lokomotiv Moscow striker Amr Zaki said on Monday that his move to Cairo powerhouse Zamalek is almost complete.

"It's only a matter of time before the deal is finalized," Zaki told FilGoal.com.

Zaki told FilGoal.com in a phone interview from Moscow that he reached a final agreement with Zamalek president Mortada Mansour and the approval of his Russian club.

"The president of Lokomotiv club will return to Russia today (Monday) and he will sign my release papers.

"I should be back in Cairo on Tuesday to join Zamalek," the 23-year-old striker added.

Zaki denied knowing any information about a possible swap between Lokomotiv and Zamalek regarding him and Ghanaian midfielder Awuley Quaye Jr. as part of the deal.

"I have no idea," he said. "These technical aspects concern the two clubs and I have no part in them."

The former Enppi player was surprised to hear that Egyptian media accused him of slamming Egyptian champions Ahli and their officials for not signing him.

Media reports have claimed that Zaki expressed his anger from Ahli's decision and quoted him saying statements like "I'll make them (Ahli) pay" and "I'll take my revenge from Ahli.

The Egypt international denied saying such phrases or otherwise concerning Ahli, noting that he carries the utmost respect for the club and its officials.

"I'm not Jean-Claude Van Damme to retaliate against Ahli," Zaki said sarcastically.
