"Personally I'm very confident, we have one of the best technical teams in the world and we know it," Fabregas told FIFAworldcup.com.
"The spirit is high in the team and I think we can do something here in Germany," added the 19-year-old Fabregas.
Fabregas, who earned a place in Spain's squad after a great season with Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League, said that English-based players will add strength to the national side.
"Now we have a few players who have played in England for a while and it can be another extra thing that can increase our spirit," Fabregas said.
"It's a bit different spirit in England, you have to play harder and this will be a positive thing for Spain, it's something new and a new spice," Fabregas added.
The Spanish team is currently training in the German city of Kamen before their first World Cup encounter against Ukraine and Fabregas stated that his team will be ready to face the tournament's newcomers.
"We know Ukraine are a very good team and that Andriy Shevchenko can kill off a game in one second but we are group favorites for a reason and if we keep working, we will be fine," Fabregas said.
Spain are drawn in group H in the World Cup where they face Ukraine, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
