السعودية حققت فوزا ثمينا على إيران

Prince Fahd Bin Sultan, president of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) announced that the national team bonuses for the 2006 FIFA World Cup could reach up to SAR 600,000 for each player.

Bin Sultan set a SAR 100,000 (per player) prize for every win and SAR 300,000 for reaching the second round, Saudi newspapers said on Sunday.

Prince Sultan convened with the players after their training session on Sunday, just two days before their World Cup opening game against Tunisia in Munich.

The bonus will be the highest in the history of the Saudi team, who reached the second stage of the World Cup just once on debut in 1994.

Saudi Arabia's 1998 and 2002 were not so successful as the team failed to live up to expectations and qualify to the round of 16 on both occasions.
