Dwyane Wade poured in 36 points to inspire the Miami Heat to a 98-74 victory over the Dallas Mavericks and tie the NBA finals to 2-2.

Shaquille O'Neal nailed 17 points and collected 13 rebounds to help Miami produce a remarkable comeback to the contest on Thursday after going 2-0 down.

"My teammates are doing a great job of spreading the floor and giving me the ball in the right spot so I can make plays happen," NBA.com quoted Wade as saying after the game.

The hosts enjoyed also great contribution from James Posey who had 10 rebounds and 15 assists off the bench, an effort praised by his team mates.

"Posey did an unbelievable job for us tonight, scoring, rebounding, just being active, taking charge," Wade added.

Dallas were led by Jason Terry who scored 17 points while superstar Dirk Nowitzki just missed a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, but it wasn't enough to rescue their team.

"It's just really disappointing when the other team is pushing and we're not pushing back hard enough," Mavericks coach Avery Johnson said.

The best-of-seven series resumes on Sunday in Miami before shifting to Dallas for Game Six two days later.
