The Egypt left-back has reportedly received an offer from the League 1 club and his agent said earlier this week that Abdul-Wahab will head to France for a medical.
"It was just a verbal offer but no serious bid was set for the move," Abdul-Wahab told FilGoal.com. "I am not going to France for a medical as it was reported."
Abdul-Wahab, who plays for Ahli on loan from Al-Zafra, said he is angry with his UAE club because they refused to consider several offers from Ahli to land him on a permanent basis.
"I want to stay with Ahli," said Abdul-Wahab, who has been a key player for the Red Devils this season during which they won five local and African titles.
"If Al-Zafra officials refused to open talks with us for this move, I will play in the UAE for the remaining year of my contract then I will rejoin Ahli as a free agent."
The 23-year-old defender started the season on the bench but his fine display with Egypt during the African Cup of Nations granted him a starting place in the second half of the campaign.
