Mohamed Omar said that he won't be resuming his work as Al-Gaish coach just one week after the Egyptian club announced him as their new coach.

The former Ittihad coach said that Sudanese club Merrikh's real desire to keep him with the club was the reason behind him quitting Al-Gaish.

"Al-Gaish let me go after Merrikh president Jaber waly held personal talks with the club board," Omar told FilGoal.com on Sunday.

Omar will be leading the Sudanese club in their current preparations for the second half of the Sudanese League.

Omar guided Merrikh to winning the Sudanese Cup last season as well as reaching the last 16 in the African Confederations Cup.
