Australia midfielder Harry Kewell is doubtful for his side's clash against Italy in the second round of the World Cup on Monday after suffering a recurrence of groin injury.

"Harry will not participate fully in training with the team today," Australia coach Guus Hiddink told a press conference on Sunday.

“We'll see how this situation is tomorrow. It will be the same procedure as before the Croatia game."

The Liverpool midfielder was named the man of the match in Australia's 2-2 draw with Croatia after scoring the decisive equalizer that sent his side through to the quarter-finals.

Later on, he struggled with a groin injury, the same problem that threatened his World Cup participation before the tournament's kick-off.

Meanwhile, Hiddink said that Middlesbrough goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer will play against the Azzurri instead of Zeljko Kalac, who made a disastrous blunder against Croatia after letting in Niko Kovac's poor shot into the net.

"Normally I don’t give out the line-up, but yes Schwarzer will be in goal," Hiddink said.
