Germany skipper Michael Ballack and striker Miroslav Klose have been given the all clear to play against Italy in the World Cup semi-finals clash against Italy on Tuesday in Dortmund.

Ballack suffered a minor cramp while Klose injured his calf in Germany's quarter-finals encounter against Argentina on Friday.

However, Germany's assistant coach Joachim Lowe confirmed that the duo will be fit to play against Italy.

"They can both play on Tuesday, they are getting daily treatment and the next few days will be a case or recuperation for them," Lowe told German media.

Lowe added that it was the great effort the pair contributed against Argentina that resulted in them catching the knocks.

"They both ran an incredible amount in that game. We have been working intensively for the past six weeks and the match used up a lot of our energy," Lowe said.
