Buecker leads first training session at Al-Wehda

German manager Theo Buecker has commenced his spell in charge of Saudi club Al-Wehda by leading the first team's training session on Monday, Saudi newspaper 'Al-Watan' reported.

The training session included 50 players from the first team and youth ranks, the Saudi paper said on Tuesday.

Saudi league top-scorer Issa Al-Mehyaani, goalkeeper Faisal Bamehrez and Talal Al-Khaibari were the only players missing from training.

The paper noted that Buecker has chosen Egyptian Mahmoud Gaber as an assistant coach alongside former Wehda player Hatem Kheyami.

Gaber, who worked as Buecker's assistant during his stint with Egyptian club Ismaili, is yet to arrive in Mecca.

Buecker had said in a press conference that he will do his best to make Al-Wehda's fans proud of their in the coming season.
