Egypt draw 1-1 with Ahli in Khashaba's testimonial

The Egyptian national team drew 1-1 with Ahli in Hadi Khashaba's testimonial game played in Cairo on Thursday.

Egypt took the lead in the first half through Zamalek striker Abdul-Halim Ali, while newly signed youngster Tarek Saad scored the equalizer for Ahli in the second half.

The testimonial saw a big entertaining program as it started with a singing performance from Sami Yusuf in the presence of a large number of celebrities and veteran football stars.

Khashaba played the first 15 minutes of the game with the Egyptian team before completing the rest of the 40-minutes- half as an Ahli player, where he reminded the fans of his defending brilliance by clearing an Abdul-Halim Ali ball off the line with a great slide.

Khashaba left the pitch at half time earning a great standing aviation from the fans after 20 years of serving both domestic and Egyptian football as one of the best and most descent players, Egyptian football have witnessed.

In the second half both team coaches made many changes, and from a through pass, Tarek Saad who was playing his first game for Ahli, managed to round the keeper and score a beautiful equalizer.
