"The continuous disregard that I'm treated with from the EWA will cost me a potential medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics," Gaber told FilGoal.com on Sunday.
Gaber, who in 2004 became the first person to win an Olympic gold medal for Egypt since 1948, said that he feels ignored by EWA officials despite his great achievements.
"My opponents, who aren't even as good as I am, get a lot more respect and support than I do," the Alexandrian wrestler said.
The 26-year-old said he lacks the training and care needed to compete on the international level and called for officials to support him.
"I need strong preparations and training camps but nobody is helping me," he said.
"I beseech Mr. Hassan Saqr (Head of the Egyptian Council of Sport) to adopt my training program instead of the EWA."
Gaber also hit out at national teammate Mohamed Abdul-Fattah 'Boogie' who he claims is pursuing American citizenship.
"Everyone knows he wants to join the American wrestling team, yet he gets more support from EWA officials than I do," said Gaber.
