An Egyptian court has reinstated Mortada Mansour as president of Zamalek club on Tuesday.

The court ruled that the decision made by Hassan Saqr, head of the Egyptian Higher Council for Sports (HCS), to relief Mansour of his duties as Zamalek president was unlawful.

Mansour exuded with confidence as he announced that he was sure he will be reinstated.

"I have full trust in the Egyptian judiciary system, which made me confident I will return to my post," Mansour told reporters after the verdict.

Mansour said his first course of action will be to sue Saqr.

"I will file a lawsuit against the head of the HCS for 'abuse of power'," the seasoned lawyer said.

The Egyptian HCS took the decision to suspend Mansour after the tribunal saga that paralleled last season's Egyptian Cup final between Ahli and Zamalek.

The HCS decided to let Zamalek club members decide the fate of Mansour in a general meeting that was to be held in August.

"I will make a final decision on whether to continue in charge of the club or quit after consulting with my family and club members," said Mansour.

This is the second time that Mansour is reinstated as Zamalek president through a court order.

The first was when former Minister of Youth Mamdouh Al-Beltagi decided to discharge all of Zamalek's board late last year.
