Zamalek's payment of 200,000 Euros prompted the Russian side to send the player's transfer license so Zaki can be registered before the Egyptian transfer deadline on Thursday August 9th.
"We paid the first installment through Mamdouh Abbas on Tuesday night, and we should receive the player's license within a few hours," Zamalek general manager Alaa Meklid told FilGoal.com.
Lokomotiv will receive another installment of 100,000 Euros later this month, followed by another 200,000 Euros in September to conclude the first payment, which has caused the deal to stall.
Zaki's move to Zamalek was in jeopardy after negotiations with the Russian club came to a halt over the method of paying the 1.4 million Euro deal and postponed the player's participation with the team.
Meanwhile, sources inside Zamalek claim the Egyptian Higher Council for Sports (HCS) is set to appoint an interim president for the club.
The sources claim the new president is a highly respected sports personality, who will be assisted by Abbas and a number of board members who will work together to bring stability to Zamalek.
