Will Amir Azmi stay with Al-Shabab?
Egyptian defender Amir Azmi said he wants to leave Greek side PAOK due to a financial dispute with the club.

"I have handed a transfer request to PAOK, but they don't want to offload me as they turned down an offer from newly-promoted side Ergotelis," Azmi told FilGoal.com on Thursday.

"It is unlikely that they will keep me against my will, I'm looking now for new offers through players' agents," the former Zamalek defender added.

Azmi's dispute with PAOK happened when the Greek club refused to pay him during his eight-month layoff through a cruciate ligament injury.

The 22-year-old joined PAOK from Zamalek in January 2005 after he impressed with Egypt's under-20 team.

Egypt coach Hassan Shehata re-called Azmi for his side's friendly against Uruguay on the 16th of August.
