"The trio won't be ready for the game as both Meteb and Al-Shater will be out for a week, while Shawki will need 10 days to recover, however they will all be ready to play against Asante Kotoko," Ahli general director Moharam Al-Ragheb told FilGoal.com on Monday.
Al-Ragheb added that the team had a training session in Ghana as part of their preparations for the Asyut game before they arrive in Egypt on Wednesday.
Following their goalless draw with Asante Kotoko in the African Champions League quarter final group A game played in Ghana on Sunday, Ahli are in third spot with four points on goal difference with Kotoko, while Sfaxien of Tunisia are in first place with six points following their 1-0 win over Algerian side JS Kabylie.
Meanwhile, former Ahli midfield star Sayed Abdul-Hafiz decided to hold his testimonial game on September 12th between Ahli and a mixed team of both the Lebanese and the Palestinian national sides.
Abdul-Hafiz's decision comes to prove the player's solidarity with Lebanon and Palestine following the Israeli attacks on the two Arab countries.
