Brazilian striker Ronaldo has said he is flattered to be targeted by Inter Milan and AC Milan.

Recent speculation surrounded the 29-year-old player, claiming him as a prime addition for either of the Milan teams.

Ronaldo spoke with newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport and expressed his gratitude at the Spanish powerhouses' interest.

"I'm proud to know that two of the world's strongest sides, both from the same city, would like to sign me," the Brazil international said.

Ronaldo, who was awarded the 2006 Golden Foot in Monaco, said that he couldn't rule out playing for a Milan team, but ultimately, the decision would rest on Real Madrid's shoulders.

"I have a contract with Real Madrid, but I can't decide alone," he explained.

The 29-year-old striker transferred to Real from Inter in during the 2002/03 season, and seems willing to consider the option of returning to his previous club.

"With Inter I lived a really beautiful story. The interest of Nerazzurri is serious. I can't tell Moratti I will never go to Milan," he said.

Beyond which domestic league he plays for, the star hit-man says he would like to continue to play at an international level, despite family protests.

"My family wants me to stop playing for Seleçمo, but I would like to continue," Ronaldo said.

"The new coach will decide, my friend Dunga. I won't be under pressure. In my career I've never asked for favors."

Ronaldo was a member of the Brazilian squad that relinquished their World Cup throne in Germany earlier this summer.
