Dutch tactician Guus Hiddink has voiced his fondness of Chelsea's Russian owner Roman Abramovich, raising media speculation about a possible future with the Premiership champions.

"Oh, let (the media) suggest that," Hiddink said in an interview with The Guardian on Tuesday.

Hiddink did admit to meeting Abramovich and other Chelsea officials on more than one occasion, but insisted it was purely within the context of his post as manager of the Russian national team.

"I was at Chelsea several times [last season]. I met the bosses over there, Peter Kenyon and also Abramovich," said Hiddink.

"We were talking about a player I had from Chelsea, but we also talked about Russian football.

The former Australia and South Korea boss was fascinated by the Russian oil magnate.

"Everyone has his preconception (about Abramovich), but I experienced a very humble and a very normal person.

"He was talking about football and everything that has to be done for his country and he asked me, and the president of the federation, if I could help them out to bring the country back on a higher level."
