"Shikabala officially signed for Zamalek, he will earn EGP 600,000 with the club this season," Cairo giants' spokesman Alaa Mekled announced.
Zamalek beat off a stiff competition from arch-rivals Ahli, who said last week that they reached an agreement with the Greek club to land the 20-year-old midfielder.
Shikabala's agent Ahmed Swelam said he is currently in Greece to finalize the deal and bring the player's international clearance.
"He is expected to play with Zamalek in their upcoming Egyptian League clash against Ismaili," Swelam told FilGoal.com
"He may extend the loan for another year in case he continues fulfilling the military service in Egypt," he added.
Swelam also stated PAOK snubbed Ahli's bid because they wanted to loan Shikabala instead of selling him.
