Striker Amr Zaki will be back in action on Monday when Zamalek take on Meknes of Morocco in the Arab Champions League after being cleared by doctors.

The Egypt international underwent several medical examinations to make sure his heart was in good condition.

"All the results turned out fine," Zaki told FilGoal.com on Sunday. "I did every test there is to do and they showed I am in good health."

The death of Ahli winger Mohamed Abdul-Wahab due to heart failure had caused Egypt national team doctor Ahmed Maged and Zamalek doctor to consider a full-check up for the 23-year-old.

"My heartbeat was a little bit above normal, that’s it," said Zaki. "But the doctors said I’m good and ready to play again."

Zaki said he will be available for Monday's ACL game.

"Physically I’m ready, but of course its up to the coach to field me or not."
