Ismaili striker Mohamed Mohsen Abou-Greisha has been ruled out of his side's clash against Zamalek in the Egyptian League on Tuesday through injury, the club said.

"Abou-Greisha won't be available for the game because he hasn't recovered yet from a knee sprain," coach Mark Wotte told reporters on Monday.

"Mohamed Fadl also is doubtful because he hasn't restored full fitness after undergoing a knee operation."

Youssef Gamal and Omar Gamal are set to start in the front line when Ismaili host the Cairo club in their bid to keep the Egyptian League summit.

Ismaili have won five games and were held only once to a draw this season, leading the standings with 16 points.

Though, eighth-place Zamalek are seen as the toughest opponents for Ismaili so far as the Cairo club fight to defy their sluggish start and rejoin the title race.

Ismaili also look to turn their fortunes against Zamalek, who beat the coastal side in their last eight league games home and away.

But Wotte said he doesn't believe in history and urged his players to forget their shameful record against Zamalek.

"We will not be thinking about Zamalek's dominance in the past years although we pay them full respect," the Dutchman said.

"Ismaili are the best in the league and we will be able of beating any team should we play our attacking game and target the three points."

Ismaili line-up (Probable)
