France goalkeeper Gregory Coupet has been ruled out of his side's Euro 2008 qualifier against Faroe Islands on Wednesday due to a hand injury, the French Football Federation (FFF) said.

Les Bleus manager Raymond Domenech has called up Fiorentina keeper Sebastian Frey to the squad preparing for the game in Sochaux, the FFF added in a short statement on their website.

However, Paris St Germain shot-stopper Mickael Landreau is likely to start for the World Cup finalists.

Lyon's Coupet was the second-choice goalie during the World Cup this summer trailing behind experienced Fabien Barthez who announced his retirement of the game last week.
