"Win or lose against Argentina, I'm going to carry on," Aragones told the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) official website on Tuesday.

"I tend to react well in adverse situations and what has happened to me has also happened to other coaches."

Spain are enduring a terrible spell in their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign after two successive defeats against Northern Ireland and Sweden.

The disappointing results left Spain in fifth place of Group F with only three points from three games.

The 68-year-old coach said there is no reason for the media's attack on him, noting that there is time to make up for the previous period.

"There is an orchestrated campaign against me by certain media, who are blaming me for things that are not my fault," he said.

"There is no cause for alarm other than the fact that we have suffered two unexpected defeats, but there is time to sort things out.

"We have still got nine games to play and we all know perfectly well what is happening in football: France lost to Scotland, Cyprus thrashed Ireland and Italy drew with Lithuania."

Aragones received the full backing of RFEF president Angel Maria Villar, who stated more than once the veteran coach will continue in his job.

Meanwhile, former Italy coach Marcello Lippi has been linked with the Spanish job, Calcio Italia magazine reported.

Since he resigned after leading Italy to the 2006 World Cup triumph, Lippi has not managed any team.
