Spain restored some of their balance with a friendly 2-1 victory over Argentina on Wednesday.

The victory eased a bit of the pressure on coach Luis Aragones who has been under fire after Spain's two defeats in Euro 2008 qualifiers from Northern Ireland and Sweden.

Xavi put the home side ahead in the 33rd minute through a curled shot from the edge of the area.

But his Barcelona team mate Lionel Messi dished out a neat cross on the floor just one minute later only for Daniel Bilos to poke home from close range.

David Villa scored the winner after the break, slamming a penalty-kick into the top corner after Andres Iniesta was clipped inside the area by Roberto Ayala.
