The Dutchman has admitted interest in bringing Beckham but said he is unsure whether Tottenham are in desperate need of the former Manchester United man or not.

"I'll sit down and have a think about it tonight (Saturday)," Jol said as quoted in the Mail.

"We are well covered on the flanks already. It's a difficult one. We've got Wayne Routledge, although he is on loan, plus Hossam Ghaly and Aaron Lennon."

The 31-year-old midfielder has reportedly said he would consider a transfer after being relegated to the bench by coach Fabio Capello.

Real chairman Ramon Calderon, though, said he is confident that Beckham will ink a new deal with the Spanish giants.
