Atwa keen on Saudi move

Zamalek midfielder Magdi Atwa said he is keen on a move to Ittihad Jeddah in January after the Saudi giants expressed a serious interest in him.

Atwa, who joined Zamalek in the summer from ENPPI, told FilGoal.com on Sunday that informed the coaching staff about the Saudi offer and that the club will consider it in the coming days.

A source in Zamalek board, speaking on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to talk to the media, confirmed Ittihad offer but refused to reveal any financial details.

Media reports said that Ittihad set a $1-million bid to land Atwa, who still has three years left in his contract with Zamalek.

Despite being used as a substitute most of the time, the 23-year-old playmaker became one of Zamalek's stars this season, netting three goals and producing an enjoying freestyle football.
