Roma manager Luciano Spalletti said on Saturday that he is not interested in re-signing Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano who hinted that he is keen on returning to the Italian capital side.

Cassano has been suspended indefinitely by Real after the Italian international burst out at coach Fabio Capello, who ordered the player to warm up during Gimnastic game but didn't field him.

"Let us talk about real facts here, enough has been said about Cassano," Calcio Italia magazine quoted Spalletti as saying in a press conference.

"I was unable to get much out of him while he was here, and of course that is the real regret, but the matter is over. Cassano belongs to Real Madrid."

After being frozen, Cassano said that he is ready to "walk back to Roma on foot" if the club is ready to land him.

Cassano has joined Real Madrid in January and had a good start this season under Capello but he was reportedly unhappy after being dropped to the bench in favor of Ruud van Nistelrooy and Raul.
