Sfaxien ready for Ahli
Mohamed Barakat and Tarek Al-Saied will miss Ahli's trip to Tunis for the second leg of the African Champions League finals with Sfaxien through injuries, the title holders said on Monday.

The injuries are bad news for Ahli who have a daunting task on Saturday after being held to a 1-1 draw in Cairo in the first leg.

African Cup of Nations winner Barakat still suffers from a nagging knee problem despite playing the home game and he will fly to Germany to undergo further examinations, Ahli added in statement.

Left-winger Al-Saied will be sidelined for up to one month after tearing ligaments in his left knee, according to the club.

The duo joins a long injury list that includes Emad Al-Nahhas, Osama Hosni, Ahmed Sayed and Gilberto who were hit with different injuries.

Ahli will also miss holding midfielder Mohamed Shawki who serves an automatic one-match suspension while Hossam Ashour is doubtful due to an ankle sprain.

The Egyptians eye clinching the title for the second successive year and tying the all-time record of five titles, registered by their Cairo rivals Zamalek.
