Mohsen Saleh has been chosen as head coach for the Yemeni national team, the Egyptian manager said on Wednesday.

“Yemeni Football Association (YFA) officials made me an offer and I accepted,” Saleh told FilGoal.com exclusively.

“I will travel to Yemen on Saturday to sign the contract and begin work,” the former Egyptian national team boss added.

Saleh also revealed the financial details of the deal that the YFA agreed to.

“I will receive a $100,000 as a signing bonus and a $20,000 salary.”

Saleh took charge of the Libyan national team for six months but his contract was terminated by mutual consent between him and the Libyan Football Federation.

The veteran manager’s first official test with the Yemeni team will be the 18th Gulf Cooperation Council ‘GCC’ Cup that will take place in UAE in January 2007.
