Gomaa to extend Ahli stay
Ahli have given defender Wael Gomaa the green light to travel to England to undergo a medical at Premiership side Blackburn Rovers following the club's African Champions League final.

The Egyptian champions will face Tunisia's Sfaxien on Saturday in the return-leg of the Champions League final.

Gomaa will have the chance to fly to England right after the crucial clash but only with the approval of Egypt's technical staff, an Ahli official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told FilGoal.com.

Egypt coach Hassan Shehata has included the 31-year-old defender in his side's squad for the friendly game against South Africa on the 15th of November.

Blackburn are set to table an official bid for Gomaa in order to sign him in the January transfer window after he impressed during his trial period with the English side.
