Zamalek assistant coach Ahmed Ramzi said that his club will show full cooperation and support for Egyptian champions Ahli.

Ramzi said that Zamalek will not object to postponing any game for Ahli in the local league after their arch-rivals qualified for the the FIFA Club World Cup (CWC).

“We have no objection to the Egyptian FA postponing Ahli’s league games,” Ramzi told FilGoal.com.

“We know that Ahli will be representing all of Egypt in Japan and we are very supportive of their mission,” he added.

Ahli were crowned African champions for the fifth time on Saturday after beating Sfaxien 2-1 on aggregate.

The victory booked Ahli’s place in the CWC, which will take place in Japan from December 10th to 17th, for the second successive time.

The intercontinental tournament will conflict with two of Ahli’s crucial league matches, including the Cairo derby against Zamalek.

But Ramzi insists that should not be a problem since Ahli have the right to prepare well for such an important competition.

“All we are asking for is that we are treated in the same manner,” he hinted regarding Zamalek’s participation in the Arab Champions League.
