Osama Khairy: Egyptian international Mohamed Zidan denied reports of a rift between him and Werder Bremen manager Thomas Schaaf.

Zidan has been out of action lately and missed several of Bremen's matches in the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League.

"There are no problems between me and the coach," Zidan told FilGoal.com exclusively in a phone interview late on Saturday.

"I was sidelined by injury and nothing else," he added.

Reports of a fall out between Zidan and his Austrian manager surfaced in Egypt after the Egyptian's long layoff period especially that the player had lost his starting place in Bremen's line-up before suffering the injury.

The 24-year-old forward underwent surgery in mid-November, which ruled him out of Egypt's friendly international against South Africa on November 15th.

But Zidan, who has scored only once for Bremen in the Bundesliga this season, insisted his comeback will be very soon.

"I started training by myself on Friday, and I will join the team's training sessions next week," said Zidan.

Bremen, who are currently in second place in the Bundesliga, have a crucial match against Barcelona in the final day of UEFA Champions group stage action on December 5th.
