Ismaili kept their title hopes alive

Ismaili caretaker manager Sabri Al-Miniawi said that teenager defender Ahmed Khairy is not for sale or lone, stressing that he is one of Egypt's best young talents.

Al-Miniawi told reporters on Tuesday that Ismaili's youngsters will be the pillars of the first team and that none of them is for sale.

Injured Khairy is set to fly to Germany after the holidays to undergo tests on his injured vertebral column.

Zamalek were reportedly interested in signing Egypt's youth national side Khairy to reinforce their back line.

Meanwhile, Al-Miniawi said Ismaili haven't opened talks with Ahli keeper Nader Al-Sayed or Egypt captain and Anderlecht midfielder Ahmed Hassan.

"Although we totally appreciate the duo, we didn't negotiate any of them," Al-Miniawi said.
