Olympic's Adel close on joining Zamalek

Olympic full-back Ahmed Adel is close on finalizing a deal to join Zamalek, the Alexandria club board member Amr Moselhi said on Thursday.

Alexandria-Hani Al-Awadi: Olympic full-back Ahmed Adel is close on finalizing a deal to join Zamalek, the Alexandria club board member Amr Moselhi said on Thursday.

Moselhi told FilGoal.com that Olympic demanded EGP 1.5 million to accept Zamalek's bid while the latter offered just 1.2 million but a settlement is expected in the upcoming days.

Adel is tipped to join the Cairo giants before the January transfer window shuts.

Although Olympic lie second from bottom in the Egyptian League table, the 23-year-old right-back put in impressive displays with the newly-promoted club and scored one goal against Zamalek.

Zamalek were in desperate need of a new right-back as Youssef Hamdi, who used to play as a forward, failed to shine in his new position.
