ENPPI football director Alaa Abdul-Sadek has brushed aside reports claiming that his side are interested in Ahli's Akwetey Mensah.

Abdul-Sadek told FilGoal.com that ENPPI have several options in the midfield and don't need the services of the Ghanaian.

Egyptian reports said that ENPPI manager Hany Ramzy considers a move for Mensah, who failed to make a place in Ahli's starting line-up since joining from Masri two years ago.

According to Abdul-Sadek, ENPPI are running the rule on three African strikers in a bid to reinforce their attacking line before the winter transfer window closes.

ENPPI scored 16 goals in 19 league games this season and Ramzy has put signing at least one prolific forward at the top of his priorities list.

The Arab Champions League runners-up are in 12th spot, just two places ahead of the relegation zone, with 20 points.
