Premiership side Manchester City and Spain's Celta Vigo are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Mido, whose first-team chances have been limited since the arrival of Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov.
However, Jol is not ready to offload Mido after Berbatov picked up a groin injury.
"Mido is important because Berbatov is out. We are a club that keeps our best players," Jol was quoted as saying by Sky Sports Network.
Mido made his first start for Spurs for over a month in Saturday's 3-1 FA Cup fourth round win over Southend and scored his first goal since October.
He was replaced late in the game after suffering a back problem but Jol is hopeful that Mido will recover in time for the second-leg of the Carling Cup semi-final against Arsenal on Wednesday.
"We will make an assessment on Sunday but I don't think it's too much of a problem and hopefully he'll be fit for Arsenal," Jol told Tottenham's official website.
