Riyadh giants Al-Shabab are in a very critical situation as they are missing four defenders ahead of the crucial Saudi Cup quarter final clash with Al-Ittifaq next Friday.

The Saudi champions are waiting for the arrival of Egyptian defender Amir Azmi to help solve their defensive problems, but the player did not show up on time and had to postpone his departure from Egypt two days.

According to Al Watan Newspaper Al-Shabab Portuguese manager Jose de Morias will be without suspended defenders Abdul-Mohsen Al-Dosari and Mohammed Al-Hamdan as well as Faisal Al-Abdali and Zaid Al-Muwalad who are sidelined through injury.

However, Azmi stressed that the delay is out of his hand, confirming that he will arrive to Riyadh on Wednesday.

''I haven’t obtained the visa yet in order to travel to Greece for the last time to receive the rest of my money from PAOK and to get my personal belongings, but the delay is completely out of my hands,'' Azmi told Filgoal.com.

''I want to finish the Greece visit soon in order to be ready for the Asian Champions League next week.

''If I don’t get the visa, then I will postpone the trip and go directly to Riyadh,'' he added.

Azmi missed Al-Shabab's latest 5-0 victory against second division Al-Rabie in the Saudi Cup last 16.

Al-Shabab will start their Asian Champions League campaign at UAE side Al-Ain on March the 7th.
