Arsenal right-back defender Emmanuel Eboue has been handed a three-match ban by the English FA on Thursday for a violent conduct during the Carling Cup final against Chelsea.

Eboue hit The Blues' left-back Wayne Bridge off the play late in Arsenal's 2-1 defeat.

The FA used video records to investigate the incident which wasn't reported by match referee Howard Webb.

Eboue will join Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor who have been hit with the same sanction after being sent off in the same game.
