National team director Samir Adli told FilGoal.com that the technical staff has chosen Tottenham duo Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' and Hossam Ghaly, Mainz's Mohamed Zidan, Anderlecht midfielder Ahmed Hassan, Sheffield United's Ahmed Fathi and Rizespor defender Ibrahim Saied.

Egyptian Football Association 'EFA' spokesman Medhat Shalabi told FilGoal.com that CAF's refusal was because the 31st January deadline has passed, adding that no team can add new players until the end of the competition's round of 16.
