UEFA has reduced the bans imposed on players from Inter Milan and Valencia after the mass brawl which took place in both sides' Champions League clash earlier this month.

Valencia defender David Navarro, who punched Inter defender Nicolas Burdisso, had his seventh-month ban cut to six but it could be extended by another two months if he is involved in a similar incident within two years.

Teammate Carlos Marchena had his four-match suspension reduced to two on condition that he doesn’t produce another improper behavior.

Inter Brazilian full-back Douglas Maicon's six-match European ban was reduced to three while Ivan Cordoba has seen his three-match suspension changed to two.

UEFA's decisions came after Serie A leaders Inter and Spain's Valencia lodged appeals over the initial sanctions.
