Ismaili's defeat to Tanta sparked the administration's anger
Ismailia- Yasser Al-Sherif: Ismaili board of directors has decided on Sunday to block the players' dues following the team's embarrassing 2-1 defeat to bottom side Tanta in the Egyptian League.

The board said they won't release the money unless Ismaili return to winning ways and hold on to their second place in the Egyptian League table.

The Dervishes' title hopes almost faded after the stunning defeat as Ahli are in pole position to win the league for the third successive time. They also risk losing second place to Zamalek and thus missing the last CAF Champions League spot.

Cairo giants Zamalek are third in the table with 46 points and one game in hand, just two adrift of Ismaili.

In another disciplinary decision, the club have suspended Jordanian keeper Amer Shafie until the end of the season after he allegedly insulted Ismaili executive director Tarek Aboul-Leil.

Shafie's action came after Aboul-Leil demanded his passport to finish traveling procedures for Ismaili's trip to Zimbabwe to face Green Buffalos in the return-leg of the Confederation Cup's third round.

However, Shafie denied saying any improper words to Aboul-Leil, accusing the latter of impolite behavior instead.

The 25-year-old has been involved in a series of bust-ups with Ismaili since his arrival in the off-season from Jordan Youth Club.

Meanwhile, Ismaili have extended the contract of 20-year-old defender Ibrahim Yehia for five years after his recent excellent displays.
