Basri (C) resigns

Arab Contractors coach Taha Basri has resigned from his post after a string of poor results, the Egyptian Premier League club announced on Saturday.

Former Egypt U-17 coach manager Alaa Nabil has replaced Basri and is set to choose his assistants in the upcoming period.

Nabil was relieved of his national duties after Egypt were dumped out of the 2007 African U-17 Championship qualifiers at the hands of Eritrea.

Sherif Habib replaced Mohamed Adel as the Contractors football supervisor after the latter was sacked.

The Wolves have not won a single league match since the eighth of December when they edged past Suez Cement 1-0.

They were handed a 1-0 loss to Ismaili last Wednesday, the defeat that saw them slip to 10th place in the league table with 30 points.
