Jermaine Jenas notched a stoppage-time strike to earn Tottenham Hotspur a 2-2 home draw with Arsenal in the Premiership north London derby on Saturday.

Arsenal are fourth in the league table with 63 points, one behind third-placed Liverpool who take on Wigan Athletic later on Saturday while Tottenham lie seventh on 50 points.

Egyptian duo Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’ and Hossam Ghaly couldn’t make the staring line-up and weren’t even on the substitutes’ bench.

Robbie Keane put the hosts in front in the 30th minute when he headed home from close-range after connecting with Michael Dawson’s flick-on.

Arsenal then had several opportunities to equalize but were denied by the post on three occasions through Emmanuel Eboue, Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Ivorian international defender Toure leveled the score four minutes past the hour mark when he ghosted behind Pascal Chimbonda at the far post to convert home Cesc Fabregas’ free-kick.

Togo giant striker Adebayor put the Gunners ahead in the 78th minute from another set-piece after he rose above Spurs’ defenders to head Fabregas’ pinpoint free-kick past keeper Paul Robinson.

Jenas came to Tottenham’s rescue five minutes into the additional time when he fired a superb low shot into the bottom corner of the net.
