Strasbourg, where Egyptian winger Ahmed Abou-Mosallam plays, beat Reims 1-0, on Sunday night, to jump to the second place of the French second division table.

Gabon striker Eric Mouloungui scored the winner at the 28th minute of the game to grab the three point in matchday 33.

The home side had to play for more than 70 minutes with only 10 men on the pitch as defender Habib Bellaid was sent off just 17 minutes after the kick off.

Strasbourg climbed to second with 61 points as Caen, third, lost to Creteil 3-4 on Sunday.

With five more matches to go, Strasbourg are now very close from getting back to the Ligue 1 as the top three go through.

It is worth mentioning that Abou-Mosallam is out for six weeks with hamstring.
