Mexican champions Pachuca beat fellow Mexican Chivas of Guadalajara to be crowned champions of CONCACAF for 2007 and book passage to the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan next December.

After a 2-2 away first leg draw, the Hidalgo stadium witnessed a 120 minutes of scoreless football what finally led to penalties as the away goal rules isn’t used in CONCACAF competitions. Pachuca won it 7-6 to snatch the title.

Pachuca becomes the second Mexican team to participate to the FIFA Club World Cup as Club America was the previous CONCACAF champions.
