“I have a relegation release clause in my contract and now I’ll be back to Egypt,” said Cheetos to FilGoal.com in a phone call.
Graz AK were sanctioned by the Austrian Football Association with a 28 point deduction for financial and administrative frauds and are sure to go down next season.
“I talked to the coach and told him that I’ll leave the club. I just asked to leave earlier to catch my exams at Cairo University in May. He had nothing against it and I should be back in the next few days.”
“It was a tough experience for me to work in such hard circumstances. I don’t regret it because I learned a lot now and i saw that even in Europe there are delaying in payments and several administrative troubles.”
“I was new to that and now I know that Ahli is a great club because we never lived in such conditions and all the players got their rights in time,” added Reyad.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old midfielder said he is still under contract with Ahli to 2009 and he’ll look for a new club in case the Reds drop him next season.
Cheetos was transferred to Graz AK for a one year loan deal last January.
