Al-Karama crowned Syrian champions

Al-Karama secured the Syrian League title for the second consecutive season after coming from behind to earn a 2-1 home victory over Al-Gaish on Friday.

Al-Karama secured the Syrian League title for the second consecutive season after coming from behind to earn a 2-1 home victory over Al-Gaish on Friday.

Abdul-Razeq Al-Hussein stunned the home crowd in the 32nd minute before Mahmoud Maaloul leveled the score six minutes later from the penalty spot.

Fras Ismail wrapped up the victory in 12 minutes from time to help Al-Karama win their sixth league title in history.

With just one game remaining in the league, Al-Karama are in charge of the table with 61 points, seven ahead of second-placed Al-Ittihad who were handed a 2-1 defeat to Al-Majd.
