Amir Azmi's agent, Ahmed Soweilam, confirmed that the Egyptian defender will leave Al-Shabab at the end of the season after his relationship with manager Jose De Morias has reached a dead end.

Azmi has struggled to find his first team place since joining the Saudi champions in February, and his EGP 9 million move to Riyadh has been questioned recently by the Saudi media.

"It is completely unfair to say that Azmi failed to prove himself with Shabab, the truth is that the manager refuses to give him any chance of playing regularly due to a misunderstanding with Azmi," Soweilam told Filgoal.com

Portuguese manager De Morias often ignored Azmi ever since his failure to show up in time for a critical cup match, despite De Morias' initial welcoming of the former PAOK Salonika stopper.

"After Azmi's debut with Shabab, he had to make a one-week journey to Egypt and Greece to get his personal stuff and terminate his contract with PAOK, but his absence was accidentally delayed due to problems with his work visa," he added.

"The manager misunderstood Azmi's attitude, turned on him after the team's exit from the Saudi Cup, and the player has been ignored ever since."

"The problem was escalated after Azmi's refusal to pull out of Egypt's CAN 2008 qualifier against Mauritania under De Morias' request," Azmi's agent said.

Finally, the player's agent confirmed Azmi's exit from Shabab despite joining for just 4 months, as he hinted a likely return to the Greek League, after revealing that an offer from Tunisian giants Esperance has been rejected.

"Azmi turned down an offer from Esperance, and I will fly to Greece soon to negotiate a move for Azmi."
