The Angolan frontman joins the likes of Essam Al-Hadari, Shadi Mohamed, Emad Al-Nahhas, Mohamed Shawki, Mohamed Abou-Treika and Emad Meteb who will not take part in the Egyptian League clash, Ahli said on their official website on Wednesday.
After Ahli secured their third successive Egyptian League title following a 2-0 victory over Al-Gaish, the club's technical staff, headed by Manuel Jose, opted to give the players a three-week rest after a long and tiring season.
Flavio hasn't been included in the list initially but was given a rest later on as he made many appearances with Ahli throughout the season.
The former Petro Atletico striker will also have to join his national team at the beginning of June for the 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifiers action.
