Al-Riyadh newspaper said that the 24-year-old stopper has injured himself in training for the third time this season after he pulled out of Shabab's Tuesday training session with a knee injury.
However, the player denied the news, saying he is ready to face Wehda and marked his astonishment with such rumors.
"I am training with Shabab on regular basis, and I am absolutely fit to play on Friday," Azmi told FilGoal.com.
"I am willing to take part of this crucial game, and I don’t know what are the sources of such rumors, it is all wrong."
The same newspaper issued a report last week describing Azmi's transfer to Shabab as a poor recruitment by the Riyadh club, suggesting that the player failed to justify his SAR 9M move.
Azmi has been unsettled since joining the Saudi champions in February, and he has consistently revealed his desire to leave the club at the end of the season due to irregular first team football.
Azmi's agent Ahmed Soweilam has also admitted recently that the former PAOK Saloniki defender could seal a move back to Greece at the end of the season.
